the Nigerian Ambassador in the Republic of Guinea from 1964 to 1966. Alhaji Sarki Adamu Bappa worked as a Stores Supervisor for UTC Motors Kano from 1967 to 1968. He served the Kano State Government from 1969 to 1974 as Senior Stores Officer and was seconded to Kano Tex tile Printers, a post he held till 1975 when he resigned to participate in the elections. He was a local government councillor gp till the last elections in 1979. Honourable Alhaji Bappa was the Principal Secretary to the PRP Presidential Candidate, Alhaji Aminu Kano. He has three wives and eleven children. His father, Alhaji Adamu Sarki Bappa had three children while Honourable Bappa is the only child of his mother, Hajiya Binta Usman. He has written extensively on economic development in Kano and he has travelled widely. He was been to Ghana, Togo, Liberia and Ivory Coast. Other countries he has visited are Sierra Leone, Guinea, UK, France and the U.S.A. He loves riding and driving.
