Chief Dele Awoniyi, an elected member, represents Ijebu Remo Federal Constituency, Ogun State. He was born in Isara, Ijebu Remo Ogun State on May 28, 1936. He attended Olu-lwa College, Ijebu Ode, 1951—55; Government Survey School, Oyo, 1956—57; Holborn College of Law, London, 1962-1964; Inns of Court School of Law, 1964 to 1965 and the Nigerian Law School, 1965—66. Chief Awoniyi is a legal practitioner and is married with nine children. His hobbies are reading and music.
