Chief Olugbemiga Babalola was born on August 8, 1932 in llupeju Ekiti, Ondo State. He is an elected member of the Assembly representing Ekiti North Federal Constituency II (Rural), Ondo State. Chief Babalola obtained the Standard IV Certificate in 1944, Teachers' Grade III Certificate in 1952, Teachers' Grade II Certificate in 1955, G.C.E. '0' Level in 1956,G.C.E. 'A' Level in 1958, Teachers' Grade I in 1959 and finally B.A. degree (DONELM) in 1965. Chief Babalola is a retired teacher and is presently engaged in farming and trading. He has the traditional titles of the Olootoranse of ll upeju, the Aare of Omu-Aran (Kwara State) and The Asiwaju of llupeju. Chief Babalola is married with eight children, five boys and three girls and loves gardening.
