(NPP) was born in 1946 at Enugu and is a native of Enugu-Ukwu in Njikoka Local Government area. He represents Njikoka Central Constituency. He had his primary education at St. John's and Sacred Hearts Schools, Onitsha. He later studied at Abbot Secondary Grammar School, Diiala and went on to the Stella Maris College, Port Harcourt for Higher School studies. Mr. Obiekwe holds the National Scientific Diploma in Sales (Manchester) and the Diploma of the Institute of Commerce (London). He is an associate member of Personnel Management, Nigerian Society of Commerce and the Nigerian Institute of Administrative Management. Before going into politics, Mr. Obiekwe was the Chairman/Managing Director of OBICON (Nig.) Limited and Principal Consultant of Obiekwe and Partners Corporate Commercial Consultants.
