was born on February 17th, 1932 at Keana in Awe Local Government Area. He obtained his Teachers' Grade 11 Certificate in 1958 from the College of Mary Immaculate, (CMI) now Government Teachers' College Kafanchan. He holds a diploma in Public Administration from Carton Univer sity Ottawa. Canada. He also attended a personal Management course at the Federal Ministry of Labour headquar ters in Lagos in 1968. He was head master between 1954-62 in various Primary Schools. He also later appoin ted Councillor in the then Lafia Local Government Authority between 1962- 1968. He was incharge of the Depart ment of Education and later Natural Resources. He later took up appoint ment with the Northern Nigeria Fibre Products Ltd. as Personnel Manager, from 1959-75, the following year he promoted to the Rank of Administra tive Manage, a post he held until April, 1978.
