As a former Commissioner for Health and Agriculture in Ebonyi State and presently a Senior lecturer in Surgery at the Ebonyi State University. Work Experience and Employment History Held several positions which include: Medical Officer S.H.O Surgery; Registrar, Surgery; Senior Registrar (General Surgery); Senior Registrar (Gen./Urology); Senior Registrar, (Gen. Surgery); Consultant Surgeon; Senior Consultant Surgeon; Chief Consultant Surgeon • Former Hon. Commissioner for Health and Agriculture. Presently, Senior Lecturer in Surgery (Adjunct) Ebonyi State University College of Medicine to Date Membership of Professional Associations • Fellow, Faculty of Surgery, National Post-Graduate Medical College of Nigeria (FMCS) • Fellow, West African College of Surgeons (FWACS) • Fellow, International College of Surgeons (FICS) Awards, Honours and Accolades He is a recipient of several honours and awards among which are; • An award of Best All Rounds Student, Simpson House Government College Umuahia • Senior House Prefect Government College Umuahia • Federal Government Scholar, University of Nigeria, Nsukka An Educationist and a consistent Strategist Dr. Ekuma Oji-Uzor has also participated in several conferences within and outside Nigeria, and a responsible family man happily married with four children.
