Appointed a Civil Commissioner in the defunct North Central State (now Kaduna), in October, 1975 (He later resigned on his own and returned to his former post at the Kaduna Polytechnic.)
Appointed Director of the Nigerian Bible Translation Centre, Jos, April, 1978;
Acting Registrar of the University of Jos, November 1st. 1978; .
Member of the Constitution Drafting Committee;
Chairman of the Kaduna State Library Board;
Special Adviser on Higher Education to the first Civilian Governor of Plateau State, Solomon Lar;
Chairman of a High Powered Committee, appointed by the Plateau State Governor to review Civil Service Rules, Regulations and Procedures in the State;
Chairman of the Interim Council of the Proposed University of the then Gongola State;
First Director for social mobilization (MAMSER) in Kaduna State, by the Federal Military Government in 1987.
