Elected member, represents Zaria North West Federal Constituency, Kaduna State; formerly a Commissioner for Economic Planning, North Central State, 1973—75. Director of Agricultural Research, A.B.U. 1977 —79, Deputy Vice-Chancellor 1979, and Vice-Chancellor Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria 1979—86. He is currently a farmer.
