ABUBAKAR, Mallam Mutum Biyu

Commissioner for Agriculture and Cooperatives in Gongola State, Mallam Abubakar Mutum Biyu was born on August 9, 1941 at Mutum Biyu in Jalingo Local Government Area. He attended Mutum Biyu Elemen tary School from 1950-53 and Jalingo boarding primary school from 1954-56 From 1957-58 he attended a cleri cal course at the Institute of Admini stration A.B.U. Zaria. Mallam Abuba kar worked with the Motor Licensing Office, Kano Province as an Assistant Licensing Officer from 1963-67. By 1968 through February 1969 he was the acting accountant, Ministry of Health, former North-East State. Between 1970 and 1971 he atten ded Kaduna Polytechnic for a Diploma in Public accounting on completion of his course, he returned to Maiduguri and was the Sub-treasurer. He worked as a sub-treasurer in Yola from May to October 1972 and returned to Maidu guri as the Accountant, Ministry of Health up to March, 1975. Mallam Abubakar is married with six children. His hobby is swimming.
