Worked with the Nigeria Broadcasting Company for over ten years; Lectured in many universities in the World- the United States, United Kingdom and his base at the University of Nigeria Nsukka where he occupied the seat of Dean of Arts;
Member of the Peoples Redemption Party (PRP) in the Second Republic.
He wrote his first Novel, “Things Fall Apart,” in 1958. published “No Longer At Ease” in I960; “Arrow of God” in 1964 and “Man of the People” in 1966; He published another book “Morning Yet on Creation Day” in 1970. He has published over two hundred stories, poems, children’s stories and academic papers and essays.
Art is man’s constant effort to create for himself a different order of reality from that which is given to him.”
