Chief Mrs Ahanonu advises Igbo Youths to be: “proud of themselves and avoid being used as political tugs. Listen to the elders and try to portray Igbo Image in a decent way. Be good Ambassadors to make us proud”. To the Igbo leaders, she states “be your brothers ‘keepers, learn to maintain your cultures and leave off copyrights. If you are in the midst of your kinsmen, use your mother tongue to address the people and identify yourself. Our Igbo Women should not shy away from active politics. They should try to contribute to nation building, because gone are the days we were meant for the kitchen and child bearing. We should emulate other women from nations like Great Britain, Palestine, India etc where women are elected as either President, Prime Ministers and in other vital positions. Women are meant for good organization, so you should not be left out. Join progressive organisations and contribute your quota to women empowerment and emancipation “.
