AJAYI Ademola is an associate professor if history,teaches at the university if ibadan, his alma mater. He is the author of Emmanuel Akingbala; The adventures of a Nigerian Baptist Pastor(1999); Yahyah Jammeh & the Gambian Revolution, 1994-2001(2002); Idi-aba Baptist girls' school abeokuta, 1909-2009: Acentenary history(2009); Baptists of Nigeria: Their Genesis,Identity, Doctrinal beliefs and Practices(2009); and Baptist work in Nigeria, 1850-2005: Acomprehensive history (2010). Dr Ajayi is also the editor of African culture and civilization (2005). He was vice president, Historical society of Nigeria (HSN) (2005-2010), and is currently the national vice-president of the American studies association of nigeria.
