He attended both Islamic andEkmentay Schook between 1941 and 1945 before going to Bauchi Middk Schoolfrom 1945to 1949 and School of Agriculture, Samaru Zaria between 1949 and 1950. Hefirst started to work as an AgriculturalAssistant with the Northern Ministy of Agriculture in Akko Distria of Gombefrom 1950 to 1955 before engaging in Private Trading between 1956 and 1962. Hethen joined aprivate Haulage CompanyJIM Corporation Ugosas TransportManagingfrom 1962 to 1971. In 1972, heformed the A.B. Manu and Company Nigeria Ud, and secured Haulage Contraasfrom Government andnon government organisations including the defuna North Western State Government, Ashaka Cement Factoy, StyrNigeria Udand Government CoastalAgeny. With hisvast experience in business, he has held many Board appointments. Currently, he is the Chairman, A.B. Manu and Co. Nigeria Ud; Gombe OilSeeds Processors Ud; Gan Water Resources Nigeria Ud; Gombe Spinning MilkUd; Director, Doma Enterprises Ud; Member, Gombe State Committee on Industrial • Poliy andPresident General, Nigerian Transport Owners Associations. .. .- Alhaji Baba Manu, Sarkin Yamman Gombe, is ako involved inphilanthropic activities and sportspromotion. He has built many Islamic Schook andMosques in Gombe and Ugos State andfounded the A.B.M. Babas Football Club which has transformed into thefamous Gombe United Football Club competing in the county's Uague tournaments.
