Hon. Alhaji Bello Mohammed was born on the 30th of March 1946 at Gwadabawa in Sokoto State. Alhaji Mohammed isa muslimbyreligion.He is one of the 16 children of his father, a farmer. His mother, Hajiya Rabi Rabihas eight children. He got married to his wives, Hajiya Hajara Mohammed and Hajiya Dije Mohammed in 1966 and 1973 respectively. He is a father of four children. Alhaji Mohammed attended the Town PrimarySchool, Gwadabawa (1957-60) and the Day School, Gwadabawa (1960-63), he also at tended Sultan Abubakar College from 1965 to 1970. In 1975 he attended a course on Education Improvement. He has a School Leaving Certificate (1963), and a Teachers' Grade II Certificate (1971). He was also awarded a certificate in Education Improvement in 1976. He was a vice headmaster from January 1971 to December 1971. He became a headmaster from 1972 to 1975.
