Aliyu Malumfashi
Alhaji Datti Malumfashi represents Malum fashi contituency, Kaduna State in the House of Representatives. He won his seat on the platform of the Peoples Redemption Party. Alhaji Aliyu Malumfashi was born on 13th March 1943 in Malumfashi, Kaduna State. His father who had 15 children was a buying agent for the UAC of Nigeria. He started his education at the Ningi Elementary School in 1951, and proceeded to the Bauchi Teacher's College in 1955, from where he obtained his Grade III Teachers Certificate in 1958. For his Grade II Teachers Certificate, he attended the Katsina Teachers' College from 1961 to 1963. He also attended the following educational institutions — the African Labour College, Uganda; 1965; Trade Union Institute, Lagos, 1967 and the International Centre for Advanced Techonology, Turin, Italy in 1973. He holds a Diploma in Financial Management and Accounting Procedure of Enterprises, and the Trade Union Institute Diploma. Alhaji Aliyu Malumfashi worked with the Zamfara Textiles Limited as head of the Quality Control Unit in 1964 before returning to the teaching profession in 1969. He was the Field Organising Secretary for the Nigeria Union of Teachers in 1971 and from 1973 - 1978, he was the Organiser for the same union. He has visited a number of countries in cluding Niger, Ghana, Italy, England, Germany, the United States of America, Uganda and the Camerouns. He got married to Maryama Labo Mashi- Katsina in 1975 and they have a male child. He enjoys swimming, football and high jump.
