Working Experience: employed by the Kano Native Authority as a Clerk and store-keeper at Gwaizo Primary School in 1956; posted to N.A. Edu cation as an accounting clerk in 19611962; Local Government Instructor in charge Kano — Katsina Provinces in 1964-65; Bursar Birnin Kudu Secon dary School 1965-66. Joined B. P. Nigeria Ltd. Kano, as accounts supervisor. Later promoted to Senior Stock Officer to take charge of Importation of Petroleum products to Niger and Chad in 1970-71 Joined Bayaida Amenity Trading Company Ltd. Kano as an Accountant in 1971; later promoted to Area Manager incharge Maiduguri Area; joined Nor thern States Marketing Board as Accounting Assistant in Lagos in 1973; Executive Secretary of the Association of Licensed Buying Agents and Trans porters, 1974-76; Personal Manager of the Nigerian Spannish Engineering, Kano, 1976-77; nominated a Local Government Supervisory Councillor hicharge Medical Health and Natural Resources in Gaya Local Government Area of Kano State. Joined P.R.P. on 20/9/78 and was elected Assistant Secretary Kano State Branch in March 1979; Secretary Gaya Local Government Council Branch; won election on the P.R.P. platform to represent Gaya North Constituency in the Federal House of Representatives. Married with three wives and (10) ten cliildren. Hobby: jockeying and hockey.
