Alhaji Ibrahim Madaki was born in 1923 at Agaie, his home town. Alhaji Madaki is a muslim by religion. He is one of the four children of his parents, Muhamadu-Sani, a farmer and Hajiya Sallamatu. He has four wives, the most senior of whom is Hadija Ibrahim whom he married in 1945, and twelve children. Alhaji Madaki attended the following educa tional institutions; Bida Middle School (1936 - 1941); Kaduna College (now Barewa College, Zaria) 1941 — 44); Zaria Teachers Training College (1944 - 45). He also attended some refresher courses in education. He has a Higher Elementary Teacher Grade II Certificate (1945). Alhaji Madaki was promoted Acting Head master Bida Middle School in 1952. Later that year, he was transferred to the Kaduna Technical Institute and Trade Centre as warden. In 1963, he served as an Immigration Officer in the Federal Ministry of Internal Af fairs. He has visited Saudi Arabia. His hobby is farming. He won a seat into the House of Represen tatives on the ticket of the National Party of Nigeria in the Agaie/Lapai Constituency of Niger State.
