OFR, KOV, MHA TAFIDAN BIDA PROVINCIAL COMMISSIONER PLATEAU He was born in 1917 in Bida oldNiger Province. He attended NigerMiddle School, (Now Government College Bida)from 1936-1940 and attended numerous courses within and outside Nigeria. His CivilService career started in the then Bida Native Administration Hospital now FederalMedical Centre Bida, where he was the Supervisor (Wdkilin Asibiti) in-charge of the Medical and Health Departmentfrom 1938-1956. He was elected as a member of the Northern Nigeria House of Assembly in 1956 to begin apolitical career that spanned over two decades. During thisperiodhe heldmanypoliticalappointments as acting Minister of Trade and Industry of the Northern Region, Provincial CommissionerSardauna Province and later Plateau and member of League of Hospital Friends of the FederalMedical Centre Bida. Among his numerous awards in recognition of Service to the Nation and beyond are Officer of the Order of the Federal Republic (OFR) in 1965 and Knight of the Order of Valour (KOV) by the Camerounian Government in 1965. Alhaji Ngagi Faruk the Tafidan Bida, died on the 3rd of March 2002
