MUSAWA, Alhaji Rilwanu Garba

Alhaji Rilwanu Garba Musawa is one of the 22 children of Alhaji Garba Musawa. He was born into politics and administration, on April 7, 1945,at Musawa, Kaduna State. His father, Alhaji Garba Musawa, the the Councillor for Heath and Sports at the Kankia Local Government area. Hon. Alhaji Rilwanu Garba Musawa has four wives and twelve children. He attended the Musawa Elementary School between 1951 and 1954 and the Kankia Primary School where he finished in 1957 before joining his father as a farmer and trader for six years. He obtained his Grade II Teachers Certificate from the Katsina Teachers College in 1968. By 1970 he had been promoted a school Head master. Hon. Garba Musawa attended the Kaduna Staff Training Centre between 1973 and 1974 and was awarded a Diploma in Administration. He moved from the classroom to administration in the Ministry of Health and Social Welfare and worked as a store keeper, administrative offier and as an Executive Officer (accounts) before deciding to move into the private sector. Alhaji Musawa worked for the firm of SCOA as an Administration Supervisor and Sales Manager (Motors), in Katsina from 1977-1978. He relinquished this post for politics and won a seat to the House of Representatives from Musawa Constituency, Kankia Local Govern ment, Kaduna State as a member of the Na tional Party of Nigeria. Alhaji Musawa is the author of "Muhurn Dan Adam". His hobbies are farming, poultry keep ing and handicraft making. He has visited a number of countries like Niger, Ghana, Sierra Leone, Saudi Arabia, and United States of America
