Born in -1944 in Gada, Gwadabawa Local Government Area, Sokoto State, Alhaji Usman had his junior elementary education at the Gada Junior Primary School from 1953 to 1956 and his senior elementary education at the, Pr.mary School Farfaru, Sokoto from 1957 - 1959. He proceeded to the Maru Teacher's College for his Teachers' Grade 111 ^d II Certificates from 1960 to 1962 and 1969 to 1970. The thirst for higher education again took him in 1973 to the Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, for a Diploma Course in Education Administration which he completed in 1974. Alhaji Usman Gada, after many years as a teacher, became an Education Officer in July 1974 and Education Secretary reponsible for education planning and administration from 1976-1979. He is married to Maria Usman Gada and they have three children. Alhaji Usman Gada comes from alarge fam.l- ,y His father, Abdukaura Gada, a farmer had nine children while his mother, Kaura had five As a teacher with many years of experience of the youth, Alhaji Gada has naturally developed a love and ability for youth organisa tion. He also loves reading as a means of broadening his outlook and knowledge. He is a member of the National Party of Nigeria and represents Gada Constituency, Sokoto State in the House of Representatives. Alhaji Gada resigned his membership of the House of Representatives on September 15, 1980.
