Alhaji Usman Ali, an elected member, Kankara Federal Constituency, Katsina State. He was born in Kankara on April 29, 1944. He attended Kankara Junior Primary School, 1952—55; Funtua Senior Primary School, 1956-58 and Barewa College, Zaria, 1959-63. He holds the GCE 'A' Level and Diploma in Sales and Marketing Management. He is currently a Director of a company that deals in cotton and grains marketing. He work ed as station master with the Nigerian Railway Corporation, Marketing Officer (North), with the Flour Mills of Nigeria Ltd., Area Manager, with the defunct Nigerian Cotton Board and finally as Marketing Manager (North) with the Nigerian Bag Manufacturing Company, Lagos. He is married with twelve children. His hobbies are travelling and watching television.
