PROSECUTION AND ACQUITTAL:

Dr. Abdullahi Aliyu, a Permanent Secretary and 5 others defendants from the Rural Electrification Agency, Ministry of Power were accused by the Federal Government for the misappropriation of N5.2bn in 2009. On the 21st of December 2017, the Court of Appeal, Abuja discharged and acquitted Dr. Abdullahi Aliyu for the offences of conspiracy to commit criminal breach of trust and criminal breach of trust contrary to Section 97 (1) and Section 315 of Penal Code Act Cap. 532 LFN 1990.
