Education: Primary and Secondary: Hope Waddell Training Institute, Cala bar; Excellsior Evening Continuation Schools, 1946-53; G.C.E. 0 & A Levels 1953-55; London School of Accountancy and London Commercial Institute for Certificated Teacher's Diploma. Work Experience: (i) Messrs S.C.O.A. General Clerk (1953-54) (ii) Chief Clerk with Lloyd's (Insurance) Agency in Port Harcourt (1957-59) (hi) Administrative Manager, John Holt Motors (1959-67). (iv) Eastern Regional Secretary of SCOA Workers Union of Nigeria (1954-58) Professional Training: Professional Training as a full-time Trade Unionist at the Patrice Lumumba Labour Academy, Lagos (1967-68) - Further professional training in Industrial Relations in co-operation with the World Federation of Trade Unions (WFTU) 1968; Further training in Industrial Relations at the University of Ibadan, Ibadan, Nigeria 1973; Lec turer in Industrial Relations at the Patrice Lumumba Labour Academy, 1974-75; Appointed by the Federal Government as a member of the Com mittee of trade union experts for the restructuring of Trade Unions in Nige ria, 1977; - Advanced Industrial Rela tions Course at the University of Iba dan, Nigeria, 1978. Served as GeneralSecretary of seve ral Trade Unions including NEPA & Allied Workers' Union General Secre tary of Technologists Association of N.E.P.A.; Cadbury Nig. Ltd. African Workers' Union; Kainji Lake Research Project and Allied Workers' Union; etc. for twelve years. Foundation member of Lxtral mural studies of Ibadan University in 1955 in Port Harcourt; Founder and Secretary of Qua Peoples' Society, Port Harcourt; Secretary, Lagos Pres byterian Youth Fellowship (1964-67); Secretary, Board of Governors of Yaba National College, Lagos (1969-72), and member of many religious, chari table and cultural organizations. Publications: Political, Ebulition in a Developing Nigeria, 1964; -Modern Day Unionism in Utility Services, 1977; - Trade Unions and Govern ment - Enemies of Friends, - 1977. Resigned appointment as Full-Time Trade Unionist in November, 1978, preparatory for politics. Chairman and Co-ordinator of Peoples' Redemption Party (PRP) in Cross River State (November 1978 - April, 1979. From Akamkpa Local Government Area; Great Nigeria Peoples Party (G.N.P.P.).
