(NPP), was born on July 22, 1944 at Umudike, Abueke, in Etiti Local Government Area. After his primary school education at St. Stephen's School, Umuahia, he attended a series of seminars on business manage ment. Mr. Ariawa is a businessman. He owns Messrs A. 0. Ariawa and sons Bakery and Confectionary Industries, Umuahia. As a Community leader, Mr. Ariawa has been the Chairman of Abueke Town Development Union from 1977 to date. He played leading roles in the founding of Abueke Boys' Secondary School and Abueke Health Centre. He is patron of Etiti Recrea tion Club. Mr. Ariawa awarded a Uni versity scholarship to an Abueke son in America, a demonstration of his commitment to the welfare of his community. He is married and has four children.
