Minister in the Ministry of Water Resources; was born in 1941 at Adoru, Benue State. He studied at the Ahmadu Bello University Zaria, where he obtained the B.Sc. (Combined Honours) degree in Che mistry and Physics and the M.Sc. degree in Chemistry. He also obtai ned the Ph.D. (Science Education) degree at the University of British Columbia, Vancouver, Canada. Dr. Atanu lectured at the Kaduna Poly technic and was a member of the Constituent Assembly. He was also a member of the House of Represen tatives before his present post. He is married and has three children.
