He obtained OND and HND in General Agriculture from Colleges of Agriculture in Zaria (1970) and Kabba (1975) respectively; Certificate of Education from Wulverhampton, UK; Post Graduate Diploma (1984) and M.Sc. (1986) in Agricultural Education from Reading University, United Kingdom. He is a civil servant and married with children. His hobby is photography.
