Mr. Thomas C. Chigbo who hails from Eke in Udi Local Government Area of Anambra State is the Abambra State Governor's Adviser on Political Affairs. He was born on January 14, 1929. He started hisPrimaryEducationin 1936atSt. Brigids School,Enuguand finished up at St. Patrick's School, Ogbete, Enugu, in 1943. He then entered the College of Immaculate Conception, Enugu, in 1943 from where he made Grade1 in the Overseas Cambridge SchoolCertificatein 1947. He attendedtheUniversity of Glasgow from 1956 to 1959 and Jordanhill College of Education from 1959 to 1960, obtaining Certificate in Drama tic Studies and Diploma in Speech and Drama. Before his appointment as a special Adviser (Political) to the State Governor, Mr. Chigbo had worked as the Chairman, Divisional School Board Udi; Chairman, Nigerian Union of Journalists, Anambra State; Area Representative Eastern States of RadioTelevision, Kaduna and the Editorial/ Commefcial Manager, Star Group of Newspapers. He later became the groups Editor-in-Chief. Mr. Chigbo who attended a course in 1963 at the Mobil Oil (Nig) Ltd. Training School, was the first State Secretary of the Nigerian People's Party in Anambra State. He is a mem ber of the Nigerian Union of Journa lists and the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations. Mr. Chigbo whose hobbies include writing, reading and table tennis is married with five children.
