was born on August 15th, 1938 at, Riyom in Barkin Ladi Local Government Area. He attended Primary Schools at Riyom and Pankshin between 194549. He proceeded to Government College, Keffi for his Secondary Education and completed in 1956. Between 1958-60, he attended the then Nigerian College of Arts, Science and Technology where he obtained his Advanced Level papers in Physics, Maths and Applied Maths. In 1960 he went to the Univer sity of St. Andrews, Scotland where he obtained the Bachelor of Science Degree (Hons.) in Physics in 1964. He later bagged his Doctorate Degree in X-Ray Astronomy from the University of Bristol, England in 1968. He lectured at the Department of Physics, Ahmadu Bello University between 1969-72. He later transferred his service to the Department of Physics, College of Science and Technology, Port Harcourt, as Senior lecturer. From 1973-75, he was appointed Commissioner for Education in the then Benue-Plateau State. Until his present appointment, he was a Com missioner in the Federal Public Service Commission between 1975-79. He was appointed Plateau State Commissioner for Lands and Survey on November 16th, 1979. He is married with five children.
