DUKKU, Jibir Halilu

Mr. Jibir Halilu Dukku was born in his home town, Dukku, in 1932. He represents Dukku-West Federal Constituency of Bauchi State. He attended Dukku Elementary School,from 1943-46 and Bauchi Middle School, from 1947-1948. Betwen 1949 and 1953, Mr Jibir attended the famous Barewa College, Zaria and Katsina Teachers' College, 1955—56 before going to the United Kingdom to read in Dundee Col lege of Education, Scotland. From 1964 to 65, he attended University of Washington, Seattle, United States of America. He was a one-time teacher, educational broadcaster, principal, Deputy Chief Inspector of Education and Chief Planning Officer of Education. He rose to the post of Permanent Secretary before he retired. Mr. Dukku Jibir was the clerk of the suspended Bauchi State House of Assembly and a civil commissioner. He is married and blessed with children. His hobbies are farming, reading and cycling.
