Edet Bassey
Dr, Efiong Edet Bassey Edunam was born on June, 1, 1954, in his home town Okuko-Oron Akwa Ibom State. He represents Oron II Federal Constituency in the Assembly. He obtained the WASC from Methodist Boys' High School, Oron in 1972 before going to the University of Nigeria, Nsukka to read History. He graduated in 1979. In 1985, he obtained a Ph.D. in History. He is a lecturer in the Department of History, Univer sity of Calabar, Calabar. Dr. Edunam plays prominent role in the development of Oron community. He is married to Mrs. Arit E.B. Edunam and they have three children. His hobbies are politics, football, reading and music.
