(NPP) repre sents Onitsha North-West in the House of Assembly. She was born in Onitsha in 1920 and had her primary educa tion at St. Mary's Catholic School, Lagos, Catholic School, Awka and Immaculate School Onitsha from where she obtained her First School Leaving Certificate. She later pro ceeded to Holy Rosary College, Onit sha and after obtaining the Higher Elementary Teachers' Certificate, enrolled at the Institute of Education of the University of London from where she obtained the Teachers' Pro fessional Certificate. Before her elec tion to the State Assembly, Hon. Emodi held the post of Senior Inspec tor of Education, charged with the inspection of schools and conduct of examinations for both primary and Teachers Colleges. She also served as the Chairman, Area Welfare Council (Day Care Centre) Onitsha as well as the President of the National Council of Women's Societies, Onitsha Branch. Her hobbies include horticulture, vege table gardening and home economics. Hon. Emodi has one child.
