Honourable Usaini Alhaji Gajango was born on 21st June, 1951, at Malam-Maduri in Kano State. He went to Malam-Maduri Primary School from 1961-67 and the Bichi Teacher's College from 1968-72. He obtained the Primary School Leaving Cer tificate in 1967 and a Grade II Teacher's Cer tificate in 1972. Honourable Usaini Alhaji Gajango started his working experience with the Local Education Authority, Hadejia in Kano State in 1974 as a Junior Headmaster and progressively became Senior Headmaster in 1977. A moslem by religion, he is very much in fluenced by the Islamic culture. He married Ha jiya Jimmai Usaini in 1978. His hobbies are reading, volley-ball and current affairs.
