Hon P.R.P. State, ourable Uba lliya Garki, a member of represents Garki Constituency, Kano in the House of Representatives He was born on May 10, 1951 in Garki. There, were ten children in the family, six of whom were from his mother. He had his primary education at Garki Primary School from 1960 - 1966. On completion of his primary education he was not able to continue his formal secondary education due to financial handicap. So he engaged in extensive Koranic studies which took him to several parts of Northern Nigeria and broadened his outlook to life. He first worked as a trader and a small-scale contractor in 1972 and then as a storekeeper in 1976 until he went into politics. Honourable Garki is married to two wives and they have two children. He has visited the Republics of Niger and the Cameroun. He like to play football, table tennis and volley ball.
