Dr. Damana Jamari Gaya was born on September 22, 1943 in his home town, Gaya, Adamawa State. He represents Hong Federal Constituency of the State in the Assembly. An agricultural expert, Dr. Gaya obtained the WASC in 1964, B.Sc. degree in 1969; M.Sc. in 1972 and Ph.D. in 1975. He was at dif ferent times Chief Agricultural Officer in Adamawa State, General Manager, Nigerian Beverages Production Co. Ltd. Principal, Col lege of Agriculture, Jalingo and member of many boards of parastatals including Cocoa Research Institute of Nigeria. He is married with five children and takes great interest in reading, politics and travelling.
