Alhaji Gusau Zaidu is an elected member of the Assembly, representing Gusau Central Federal Constituency of Sokoto State. He hails from Gusau in Sokoto State. He attended elementary school, Gusau from 1939 to 1943, Sokoto Middle School (Govt. College) from 1944 to 1946 and Kaduna College (Barewa) from 1947 to 1950. He also attended the London School of Economics, where he obtained a Diploma in Social Administration. Alhaji Gusau served his state in various capacities before retiring as a Chief Social Welfare Officer. He also played football for Nigeria between 1958 and 1961. He is married with two children. His hobbies are reading and travelling.
