LANKO, Hon. Sawa Abdulkadiri

is a member of the House of Representatives, representing Sawa Constituency on the platform of the Unity Party of Nigeria. He was born in Lanko Jalingo in 1944 into a Moslem family. Hon. Sawa started his primary education at Pantisawa Primary School in 1949, moved to the Teachers College, Mubi where he studied from 1953 to 1957- and later to Gwombe Teachers College from 1976. He attended the Man "0" War Bay course in 1959. Hon. Abdulkadiri Lanko Sawa obtained the Grade III Teachers Certificate in 1959 and the Grade JJ Certificate in 1977. He was promoted Headmaster Grade III in 1977. Altogether, Hon. Sawa taught for 21 years before opting for politics in 1979. He is one of the twelve children of Mr. Kanejobong of Lanko, a farmer. Among his hobbies are reading and debating.
