Hon. Abdulmunini Mafara was born in Talata Mafara in 1951. His father Alhaji Talata Mafara, was born in 1920 while his mother, Hajia Inno was born in 1940. He is married to Hajia Sabuwa. They both have three children. A devoted muslim, Hon. Mafara attended Talata Mafara Primary School from 1958 to 1964. He obtained his G.C.E. 'O' Level in 1970. He attended the College of Agriculture in Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria from 1973 to 1974. He was an Agricultural Credit Superinten dent in 1976. Between 1977 to 1979 he was a Divisional Loans Officer. Hon. Mafara who has published an article on "A Village Life" has visited India, Germany, Britain, America, USSR, Canadaand France. He takes to reading, football and farming as hobbies. He is a member of the National Party of Nigeria and represents Talata Mafara Consti tuency, Sokoto State.
