ADEBO, Hon. Adeola

Hon. Adebo Adeola was born on the 6th of April 1939 at Ijero-Ekiti his home town, in Ondo State. His parents are Prince Daniel Adeola, a farmer and Madam Dorcas Okewamola Adeola a weaver and trader. A christian by religion, Hon. Adebo Adeola is one of the 18 children of his father. He got married to his wife, Beatrice Oluremi Ogunleye, on January 2, 1957. He has eight children. Hon. Adeola attended a number of educa tional institutions. These are: Christ Church Anglican School, Ijero-Ekiti, (1942-48); Apostolic Teacher Training College, llesha (1950-51); St. John/Mary Teacher Training College, Owo (1956-57); correspondence tui tions (1961-1966); and the University of Liberia, Monrovia (1972-75). He has among others, the following educational qualifications: First School Leaving Certificate (1948); Teachers' Certificate Grade III (1951); Teachers' Cer tificate II (1957); Teachers' Certificate Grade I (1966); and G.C.E. O/Land A/L; B.Sc. Hons in 1966, 1967 and 1975 respectively. He.was a pupil teacher in 1949 and Assistant Headmaster in 1952. From 1953 to 1955, he was headmaster junior primary, and Parish Head master of Anglican School from 1959 to 1960. He also lectured at the Adeyemi College of Education, Ondo, from 1976 to 1978. Hon. Adeola has visited a number of West African countries including Liberia, Ghana, Sierra Leone, Ivory Coast and Senegal. Hon. Adebo Adeola takes interest in farming and reading and has been leader of a number of students unions. He became a member of the House of Representatives on the ticket of the Unity Party of Nigeria for Ijero, Ondo State.
