AGYA, Hon. Agbujoro

a member of National Party of Nigeria from Wukari Local Govern ment Area in the House of Representatives, was born in 1940 at Wukari in Gongola State. He attended the N. A. Elementary School, Wukari from 1951 to 1954 and later the N. A. Senior Primary School, Wukari, from 1955 to 1957. After two years in the Senior Primary School, he went to the Government Teacher's College, Keffi from 1961 to 1962, and the Ilorin Teacher Training College, Keffi from 1963 to 1965. From 1977 to 1978 hewas at the Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria for a course in Education Planning and Administration. Hon. Agbujoro hasthefollowing Certificates' Primary Seven School Certificate (1957) Teacher's Grade II Certificate (1966) and Diploma in Education Planning and Administra tion (1978). After successfully pursuing his education he joined the Ministry of Education asan Assistant Headmaster in 1967. After a year of good per formance as Assistant Headmaster he was pro moted to a full Headmaster in 1968. In 1971 he was made Acting Education Officer and in 1978 he was promoted to the post of an Education Secretary. During his years of employment as a teacher, he also served as Councillor, for Local Govern ment and Social Services from 1972 to 1974. In 1975 he was appointed Chairman for Local Education Authority and also in 1976 he served as Chairman for Local Schools' Board. He is happily married to Mary and they have four children.
