AKINTOLA, Hon. Chief Yomi

Born on February 19, 1939 at Ogbomosho, Honourable Chief Yomi Akintola is one of the five chidlren of Late Chief S. L. Akintola, former Premier of the then Western Region. He had his education at Baptist Academy, Lagos from 1945 — 1952 and Baptist Boys' High School, Abeokuta from 1953 - 1957. Later in the year, he proceeded overseas and read at St. Andrews College, Dublin till 1959. Furthermore, he was at the London School of Management from 1965 — 1967. Chief Yomi Akintola was an Assistant Manager with Leventis and Company for two years from 1963 — 64, before leaving for J. Allen and Company Limited. In 1969, he was Company's Public Relations and Marketing Manager. Married to former Miss 0. I. Aboderin, Chief Akintola has four children. He has visited among other places the United Kingdom, Germany, France, Italy, USA, Japan, Brazil and Argentina. His hobbies are reading, billiard, lawn and table tennis. Honourable Chief Yomi Akintola is the NPN representative for Ogbomosho (Oyo State) Central Constituency in the House of Represen tatives
