was born on June 8, 1954at Bakurdi in Gongola State. Heis a moslem by faith and he was influenced early in life by his parents who brought him up in a truly moslem home. He attended the N. N. Primary School, Bali in 1962, Government Craft School Noman (now Government Secondary Technical School) from 1971 to 1973, and the Govern ment Teacher's College, Gombe from 1974 - 1976. Hon. Dahiru Hamman-Liman obtained the First School Leaving Certificate in 1968 and Techer's Grade II Certificate 1976. After his teacher training course he joined the Ministry of Education and was promoted to Headmaster in January 1977. He held this post until February 1979. Hon. Hamman-Liman married Habiba in 1979. His hobbies are reading and volley-ball. He is a member of the National Party of Nigeria for Bali Constituency, Gongola State, in the House of Representatives.
