IBRAHIM, Hon. Dauda Adejumo

Honourable Dauda Adejumo Ibrahim was born at Ikire in August 1936. He is a moslem, married and has five children. He passed his primary school final examina tion in 1952 after attending the Baptist Day School, and the Public Day School Ibadan from 1945-1952. He went to the Commercial College, Ijebu-Ode and passed the R.S.A. School Com mercial Certificate Examination in 1956. He has R.S.A. Certificates" in Intermediate Book- Keeping; and G.C.E. '0' Level (English and Biology.) He was employed by Aiyedade District Coun cil in 1958 in the revenue section as tax and rates collector. He was later transferred to the administration section and the correspondence section before resigning his appointment. He then worked for the Inaolaji Builders Limited as a supervisor before going into politics. As a politician, Honourable Ibrahim believes that the welfare of the masses must be accord ed a priority by any government. This he said, could be achieved by locating industries in local government headquarters instead of the State capitals and other big towns. He also objects to Nigerians maintaining bank accounts abroad a practice which, he said, leads to a drain on the nation's foreign exchange reserves. Honourable D. A. Ibrahim has interest in reading, football and table tennis. Honourable Ibrahim is a member of the Unity Party of Nigeria and represents Irewole West Oyo State, in the House of Representatives.
