EKOK, Hon. Ojogu

a member of the House of Representatives from Ikom Consti tuency was born on the 15th February, 1940. He attended the C.S.M. School, Ekpokpa in 1949 and obtained his first school leaving certificate from the C.S.M. School, Nde in 1956. Hon. Ekok Ojogu proceeded in 1957 to the B.V.S. School in Ididep. From there he went to the Macregor College in Afikpo from 1960 — 1961 and from 1965 - 1966. From this institu tion, Mr. Ojogu obtained his Teachers' Grades III and II certificate respectively and passed his four papers at the G.C.E. Advanced level in 1969. Honourable Ojogu, in search of more laurels, proceeded to the University of Nigeria, Nsukka in 1970 to read Political Science. He graduated in 1973 wrth a B.Sc. (Hons) in Political Science and obtained his M.Sc. degree from the same University in 1976. Honourable Ekok Ojogu, was a lecturer in Political Science at the University of Calabar for three years. His hobbies include farming, hunting, swim ming and playing games. A christian by faith, Honourable Ekok Ojogu is married to Helen and has five children. Both his parents are from Ekpokpa Town. His father, Mr. Ojogu Ekum, a farmer, had ten children while his mother, also a farmer, had seven children. He is a member of the National Party of Nigeria.
