was born at Ikenanzizi Obowo on the 25th May 1925. He attended St. Theresa's School Ikenanzizi. He later attended St. Columba's School, Nsu and the TeacherTraining College, Umuahia. Honourable Eleke has a Grade Three Teachers' Certificate, a General Certificate of Education and a Grade II Teachers' Certificate. He was a Senior Headmaster from 1960 - 1979. Honourable P. 0. Eleke is a Catholic by faith and is married to Florence Uchawma Eleke. They have eight children. He has visited several countries in Africa and Europe and loves reading and playing table ten nis. He represents Obowo Constituency, Imo State, in the House of Representatives on the platform of the Nigeria Peoples Party.
