Hon. Akinboro is one of the eight children of Mr. Hazekiah Ogunrinde, an evangelist and farmer. His mother, Beatrice Oyin Ayinke, trader from Abeokuta had seven of them. Hon. G. 0. Akinboro is a christian and is mar ried to Adejoke Adunni in 1960; they have five children. He was influenced in life by his strict and diligent father, a happy home, christian worship and farming. He started schooling at St. Augustine's Catholic School, Imeko in 1948 and obtained his First School Leaving Certificate in 1953. He also attended St. Anne's and St. Leo's Practi sing School Ibara, Abeokuta to complete his primary education. In 1956 he went to the Egba Divisional Teacher Training College and he obtained his Grade III Teachers Certificate in 1957. He pass ed the G.C.E. "0" Level examinations in 1960 and three A level papers in 1962. He went to the Birmingham College of Commeroe, Birm ingham, England from 1964 — 1967 where he passed his LL.B. degree. He came to the Nigerian Law School, Lagos in 1967 — 1968 for the Legal Practitioner's Diploma. Hon. Akinboro has worked as a teacher, an insurance officer, and even a labourer before becoming a legal practitioner for eleven years. He has visited Britain, Israel, Western Ger many, France, the Soviet Union, Japan, Hong Kong, Republic of China, Italy, Spain, Sierra Leone, Senegal and the Ivory Coast. His hobbies are reading, writing, walking and gardening. He won a seat in the House of Representatives on the platform of Unity Party of Nigeria, for Okeona, Owu, Gbagura Consti tuency of Ogun State.
