Honourable Idi Mustapha Mustapha was born in 1946 at Gaya in Kano State. He con tested and got elected into the House of Representatives on the P.R.P. platform He attended the Gaya Primary School from 1960 to 1967 and the Government Secondary School, Danbatta horn 1968 to 1972 where he obtained the West African School Certificate. He attended the School of Basic Studies, Ahmadu Bello University Zaria from 1973 to 1975 before enrolling in the same University for the Bachelor of Science degree which he ob tained with honours in 1979. Honourable Mustapha described himself as an advocate of social justice and a firm believer of democratic socialism. He also says that he abhors colonialism, neo-colonialism and im perialism in their totality. He is married and has three children. His hobbies include swimming, horse riding, volleyball and photography. He is a moslem, a member of the P.R.P. and represents Gaya South Constituency in Kano State.
