CIDAWA, Hon. Isa Ibrahim

was born in November 1942 at Kafanchan. He is also a native ofJema'a and a muslim by religion. He is one of the six children of his parents Mallam Ibrahim, a farmer and Hajiya Hadizatu. He is himself a father of five children. Hon. Isa Ibrahim attended the following educational institutions: The Jema'a Primary School, Kafanchan (1953-56); Wamba Senior Primary School (1957-59); and the Toro Teachers College (1961-65). He obtained a Grade II Teachers' Certificate in 1966; In 1967 he attended a U.K. assisted course for Nigerian teachers. In November of the same year he attended a citizenship and leadership course in Kura Falls. In August 1973 he also attended a Teachers in-service course at the University of Ife. He has a Hausa diploma from the Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria (1975-76). Mallam Ibrahim also took a diploma course on Educa tional Planning and Administration at the Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria (1976-77). He was a primary school headmaster from 1967 to 1976 and became an Assistant Educa tion Officer, Local Education Authority in 1977. His interests include reading, farming and gardening. His is a member of the National Party of Nigeria for Jema'a South Constituency, Kaduna State in the House of Representatives.
