GUMAWA, Hon. Isiyaku

Honouarble Isiyaku Gumawa was born in Gumawa Village In 1942, His father, Mallam Abdullahi, fs the village head of Gumawa jp the Gabasawa District of Kano State. He had his elementary education at the Zakirai Junior Primary School from 1951 to 1956 and the Gwarzo Senior Primary School from 1957 to 1959. He attended the Wudil Teachers' College in Kano from 1960 to 1962 to obtained the Grade III Teachers Certificate. For the Grade II Cer tificate, ha went to the In-Service Teachers' College in Kano from 1970 - 1972. To further his studies, he enrolled at the Ad vanced Teachers College of the Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria from 1975 to 1978 and obtain ed the N-C.E. in 1978. He decided to go into politics after completing his National Youth Service Corps. Honourable Gumawa is married and has ten children. Honourable Isiyaku Gumawa represents the Gabasawa Constituency in Kano State in the House of Representatives. He is a member of the Peoples Redemption Party. His hobbies are sports and farming.
