OLARENWAJU, Hon. Johnson Olubisi

Honourable Johnson Olubisi Olarewaju was born on the 19th of March, 1932 at Modakeke inlle-lfe.Heisachristian. He started his early education at St. Stephens School, Modakeke (1945 - 1952), Divisional Teacher Training College, Ife, (1955 - 1956), Ondo/Oyo Joint Provincial College, Ife (1960 - 1961); and the University of Ife from 1972- 1973). He obtained his Grade Three Teacher s Cer tificate in 1956, Grade Two Teachers' Cer tificate in 1961, andthe Associate Diploma in Educationin 1973. Honourable Olarewaju worked in various capacities as Teacher class 'C in 1953, Head master Class Three in 1968, Headmaster Class Two in 1974, Chairman, Teachers' Resource Centre (1977 - 1979); member of the Juvenile Court, 1978, Chairman, Board of Governors of D.T.T.C, Ife and Councillor Ife District and Divisional Council 1961 - 1963. He was also the treasurer and Peoples' Warden of St. Stephens Church, Modakeke 1977to-date. Honourable Olarewaju is married to Rebecca Ereola andthey havefivechildren. He has wr/tten four articles on social studies for the TeaVhers Resource Centre. His hobbies are table tennis and music. Honourable Olarewaju was elected a member ofthe House ofRepresentatives inJuly, 1979 in the Oranmiyan North Constituency, Oyo State on the platformofthe Unity Party of Nigeria.
