Honourable Oluwole Oyatobo, a member of the Unity Party of Nigeria, was born on the 25th of April, 1938 at llora, Oyo State. He represents the Oyo South Constituency in the House of Representatives. Honourable Oyatobo is one of the seven children of late Mr. Amos Bamidele Oyatobo, a carpenter from Mora, and Madam Susanah Olanihun Oyatobo. Honourable Oyatobo started his early elementary school at the Baptist Day School, Nora in 1948. He left the school at the end of 1952 for St. John's School Ijebu-lgbo where he finally obtained his Standard Six First School Leaving Certificate. He went to Molusi College, Ijebu-lgbo from 7954to 1958 where he passed his West African School Certificate Examination. From 1959 to 1960, he did Higher School Certificate studies at St. Gregory's College, Lagos. He entered the University of Ibadan in 1961 and read for the B.Sc degree in Agriculture which he passed with honours in 1964. That same year, he pro ceeded to the Royal Agriculture College, England for a year's post graduate Diploma Course in Farm Management. Later, he went for another post graduate studies in Farm Organisation and Rural Development at the In ternational Agricultural Centre in the Netherlands. In 1971, he obtained another post graduate certificate in Farm Management at the Universi ty of Pennsylvania, U.S.A. Honourable Oyatobo worked as the Plantations Manager from 1964 - 1969 at the Cocoa Research In stitute of Nigerian Ibadan. He was at the Inter national Intitute of Tropical Agriculture Ibadan between 1969 - 1974 also as a Farm Manager. He took up a new appointment as a Principal Agricultural Officer in the Federal Ministry of Agriculture, Lagos from 1974 to 1978. Honourable Oyatobo got married to Adunni Aderonke Oyatobo (Miss Fowosire) in November 25, 1965. They now have seven children. Honourable Oluwole Oyatobo has travelled widely in the pursuit of knowledge. Among the places he has visited are the United Kingdom, U.S.A., West Germany and the Netherlands. Among his many hobbies is the collection of cartoons in newspapers. He is also interested in farm mechanisation.
